m1 - knit the stitch and knit in the back of the same stitch

k2tg - knit 2 together

Pattern Instructions

Cast On 2 stitches and Knit.

Row 1: k1, m1, k1, knit in the back of the same stitch,  knit all stitches to the end of the row, 

Row 2: repeat row 1 and continue to repeat row 1 until your project has the desired width.

After your project has reached the desired width start the decrease rows.

Row 1 and all following rows, k1, k2tg, knit all stitches until the end of the row. 

Turn,

Repeat decrease Row 1 until you have 2 stitches left on your needle. The last 2 stitches knit together and bind off.
