A > Secondary Color (light)
K: Knit | P: Purl | SL: Slip stitch purlwise
Wyif: With yarn in front | Wyib: With yarn in back.

Rows 1,5 and 9 (RS) With A, k1, *[wyif sl 1, wyib sl 1] twice, wyif sl 1, k5;
rep from *, end k1. Do not turn. Slide sts to the opposite end of the needle.

Rows 2 and 6 (RS) With MC, k1, *k5, wyib sl 5; rep from *, end k1.

Rows 3 and 7 (WS) With A, k1, *p5, [wyif sl 1, wyib sl 1] twice, wyif sl 1; rep from *, end k1. Do not turn. Slide sts to the opposite end of the needle.

Rows 4 and 8 (WS) With MC, k1, *wyif sl 5, p5; rep from *, end k1.

Rows 10,14, and 18 (RS) With MC, k1, *k5, [wyif sl 1, wyib sl 1] twice, wyif sl 1; rep from *, k1.

Rows 11 and 15 (WS) With A, k1, *p5, wyif sl 5; rep from *, end k1. Do not turn. Slide sts to the opposite end of the needle.

Rows 12 and 16 (WS) With MC, k1, ‘[wyif sl 1, wyib sl 1] twice, wyif sl 1, p5; rep from *, end k1.

Rows 13 and 17 (RS) With A, k1, *wyib sl 5, k5; rep from *, end k1. Do not turn. Slide sts to the opposite end of the needle.

Rows 19,23 and 27 (WS) With A, k1, *p5, [wyib sl 1, wyif sl 1] twice, wyib sl 1; rep from *, end k1. Do not turn. Slide sts to the opposite end of the needle.

Rows 20 and 24 (WS) With MC, k1, *wyif sl 5, p5; rep from *, end k1.
