While organizing my knitting books a while ago I came across a Knitting Calendar from 2014, with the title; 100 + patterns throughout the year. The pattern I picked for my headband project is a 6 stitch cabled pattern. The pattern is a simple eight rows of front and back cables.
Using a provisional cast on.
Cast on 24 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K1, p1, k9, p2, k9, p1, k1.
Row 2 and All Even Rows: P1, k1, p9, k2, p9, k1, p1.
Row 3: K1, p1, c6b, k3, p2, c6b, k3, p1, k1.
Row 5 : Rep Row 1.
Row 7: K1, p1 k3, c6f, p2, k3, c6f, p1, k1.
Row 8: Rep Row 2.
Rep last 8 rows of pattern until work from beg measures cm ending with a WS row.
Using the provisional cast one hold both ends right-side facing and bind off in pattern as stitches appear.
To finish the the headband crochet one round of single crochet stitches around the edges.
