Knitting gatherings from 2007 onwards.

As I stroll down memory lane through a treasure trove of old photographs, a wave of fond memories sweeps over me, transporting me back to the lively knit gatherings of yesteryear. Ah, the memories! I can almost hear the soft clinking of knitting needles and the joyous chatter of friends catching up. Whether it was the cozy corners of KnitWitz—oh, how I miss that charming yarn store in San Dimas, or the sweet gatherings at the Corner Bakery Cafe in Glendora, where the aroma of fresh pastries mixed with yarn fibers, each spot had its own unique magic. Then there was The Purl Side (another beloved haunt), nestled in Glendora, where every stitch felt like a little piece of home. And let’s not forget my very own yarn haven, All About Yarn, in Azusa! Even though it closed its doors in 2015, the laughter and creativity we shared there are still in my heart, like the colorful yarns we used. Each place was a stitch in the fabric of my knitting journey, and I can't help but smile as I relive these wonderful moments from the past.

Reminiscing about those days warms my heart.

In those snapshots, our Azusa Adult School Knitting Group shines—frozen moments of yarn-fueled joy from 2007 at the Azusa Senior Center. We laughed together, with creativity and camaraderie. Bored? Never! Every stitch held a story, every skein was an inspiration, and our shared love for knitting and crocheting wove us tighter than any yarn ball.

Azusa Senior Center weekly Knitting and Crochet Group

The Azusa Senior Center's weekly Knitting and Crochet Group meets every Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. If you're looking for reasons to join, knitting and crochet are timeless crafts enjoyed by generations.

Being part of a weekly knitting and crochet group can be a fun and rewarding experience for various reasons. To begin with, joining a group allows you to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for these crafts. It provides an opportunity to socialize, exchange ideas, and learn from each other's experiences. This sense of community and camaraderie can make creating something with your hands even more enjoyable.

Moreover, being part of a group can provide motivation and accountability. When you have a regular meeting to attend, it can help you stay committed to your projects and make progress. Seeing what others are working on can inspire you to try new techniques and patterns.

Finally, being part of a weekly knitting and crochet group can be a great way to relax and unwind. The repetitive motions of these crafts can be meditative and soothing, and spending time with others who share your interests can be a great way to de-stress and have fun.

In conclusion, joining a weekly knitting and crochet group can be a fun and fulfilling experience, whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter. Being part of a group can provide a sense of community, motivation, and relaxation. So why not give it a try and see for yourself?
