Pink & White Baby Jacket for Angelika

I just finished a little pink and white baby jacket for baby Angelika, and I have to say, it turned out really sweet. I used Sirdar Snuggly Baby Care DK, and wow, that yarn is soft. Like, really smooth. It’s the kind of yarn that makes you want to keep squishing it while you knit. The pattern was super easy to follow, nothing too fussy. It worked up quickly, and the DK weight gave it a nice, even texture. I didn’t have to fight with the yarn or second-guess the instructions, which is always a win.
And on Angelika? Adorable. The colors suit her perfectly, and the fit is just right, not too snug, with a little room to grow. She looked so cute in it, I almost didn’t want to take it off her to weave in the ends.
This was one of those projects that reminded me why I love knitting for babies, simple, sweet, and full of heart.

Beautiful Baby Girl Jacket

I discovered this beautiful design in a magazine a while ago and instantly fell in love with it. The pattern is not only visually appealing but also easy to work with and knits up quickly. For this project, I chose Sirda Snuggly Lavender yarn, which adds a lovely softness to the finished little jacket.

Raglan Cardigan

Having a baby is always exciting, especially your first one. I found in my stash 2 skeins of Patons Yarn Classic Wool. The color is variegated, and I created a nice-looking full little jacket. The pattern for this Raglan Cardigan came from the book 60 Babyknits, is featured as project #21, and will be for Hannah's soon-to-be-born baby boy.

Ein Streifen Jaeckchen fuer Karin und Martin's Baby.

Today, 13 years ago, I knitted this little "stripy" for my friend Karin's first baby. The saying time flies by really fast I agree with it! I remember I used Ella Ray 100% wool for this jacket.

Boy's OPAL Regenwald / Rainforest Sweater's

I came across a delightful collection of jackets for boys while browsing through my projects. I always prefer OPAL yarns for their quality and affordability. The yarn is self-patterning and machine washable. It is manufactured in Germany and is part of the Version 14 colorway series. Furthermore, for every skein purchased, a one Euro donation is made to the Safe the Rainforest organization. In 2008, I used this yarn to knit jackets for two young boys who were customers of All About Yarn.

Looking Glass Knits Peach Blossom

This is a modified version of Jennifer Little of Looking Glass Knits Peach Blossom Baby jacket. Instead of a garter stitch edge, I opted to knit a picot edge. I also knitted a matching hat and exchanged the four frogs with two cute buttons. The third one I added to the hat.
